Some Problems

It's a well-constructed safe but the gun rests are two high for the guns I have, and not adjustable. The do come with some plastic pieces to add to gain space away from the wall for a scope but since most of my guns that range from Mossberg shotguns to deer rifles in various calibers and old military rifles all full stocked the majority of them are to short for the rests. You can’t use these “spacers” on the bbl rests next to the door or the door won’t shut. Most of my guns barrels do not reach the rests at all and some sitting just barely in them. If you have more than a 40mm scope on your rifle or you use med or high mount rings then you have to lean the butt of the stock out at the bottom of the wall to keep it from falling in to your other guns this will cost you half your capacity . I learned this the hard way and now have a dented scope and several rifles scratched because of it. The capacity is not 16 guns unless you have no scopes, and all of your guns have at least 24 inch bbls. You can't fit that many in it due to the problems I describe. I have 9 in mine and unless I raise the floor of it to accommodate the non-adjustable bbl rests and remove most of my scopes that’s all I will ever get in it. Measure your barrels and scope height and compare it before you buy there are several other brands on the market that are cheaper and work without the problems listed here. If there were a way to lower the bbl rests this would not be as big an issue.
