I purchased this cabinet about a year ago at a chain sporting goods store when it was on sale. I have been VERY happy with the quality that is inherent in all Stack_On products! This is a GREAT value! I will continue to purchase more Stack-On cabinets in the future!Write a Review
Exceded my expectations
Ordered this cabinet from a chain home improvement store at an incredible deal. Cabinet was a special order so I was expecting it to take a while to get it. My wait was just short of 2 weeks. The cabinet arrived in perfect condition! not one scratch or ding. Assembly of the shelf was a breeze and the side barrel rests were super easy as well. My only difficulty was the larger barrel rest that go on the back, I needed an extra set of hand since my arms aren't long enough to reach around the door AND all the way to the back. Also the lock was pretty dang stiff but a little penetrating oil and working it a few times freed it up nicely. This cabinet is built very well and strong. Securing to the wall was very easy as well, they supply the bolts. The shelf is a little small but there is ample room for a small shelving unit inside if you want to use one like I did. The space in this thing is AWESOME! I would VERY highly recommend this cabinet to anyone wanting a great product at a great deal. Stored in this are 4 rifles, 2 scoped, 2 Shotguns 1 of which is 48" long plus my handguns and ammo. PLENTY of space!Write a Review
Stack-on 14 gun cabinet
I now own three stack-on security cabinets. Two of them are the 14 gun type and can say that I have been very satisfied with the quality and appearance of them. I will be purchasing my next one very soon for I need the space as my gun collection grows. These can not only be bolted down to the floor and/or the wall, they can also be connected together to make one long storage assembly, and with the addition of a motion detector alarm system, are, to me, as secure against break-in, as an expensive gun safe. Good product Stack-On!!Write a Review
Great peace of mind for the investment value
I purchased this on sale when I only had a couple of guns to store. I secured it into a closet with lag screws and no room around it to get to them. I now have a dozen guns and feel comfortable when I leave for the weekend that they will be there when I get home. It is Great peace of mind for the investment value."Write a Review
Great Cabinet and a Great Value!
This is a great value. Sturdy cabinet and a great value for the price. Very nice security cabinet makes it easy to keep everything organized in one place. I am also proud to buy a product Made in the USA. Thanks, Stack-On, for manufacturing quality products and employing our fellow citizens while doing so. I will be a Stack-On customer in the future too, as I would like to have a safe someday. It was perfect out of the box. The workmanship and the finish look very nice and would make you think it's far more expensive than the actual price.Write a Review
was too excited and was let down
Directions sucked, barrel rest are OK need improvement like foam and placed lower on walls. I have a custom ar with scope it's too tall for the scope rest is got a a2 stock and 18" barrel and if the rest were 1/4" up further it wouldn't touch. Shelf flimsy. No hole to run a light so I put a hole in and a rope light. Now packaging the paint has clear coat scratches from who knows what like that when I spend the box and top of safe dented from shipping. Would really like to find out what stuff on the back I need to write down, again directions and sticker don't say what numbers is what.Write a Review
robbery gone okish
i recently did some trading to aquire a 14 gun stack on safe..... needless to say yesterday i come home to find my house ransacked and everything in the house has been toppled over includeing my safe.... the lock was all scratched up and the paint was chopped real bad from failed attempts of entry.... they took the keys to it that i had pocked in another fireproof lock box so now im about to order another and attempt to get a second key for this one... highly reccomend this safe it is cheap strong and well built... props stack onWrite a Review
Not ready for home defense / 'tactical' guns out of the box
This is my second Stack On gun cabinet and I like their products however there is (in my mind) a huge short sight of having holes not predrilled for installing the barrel rests at varying heights. This can be easily done by the purchaser but you would think they would realize non-hunters might only have shorter ‘long’ guns. My 16 inch AR-15 is about 1 inch from touching the barrel rest fully extended and my Mossberg 500 with a full M4 style stock is about 6 inches short. I can correct this in less than 5 minutes after emptying the cabinet but 3 or 4 sets of holes predrilled would have been nice and completely unnoticeable. I also do not like the shelf not extending all the way to the back (kind of ‘floats’ in the middle) but I understand the reasoning.Write a Review
Got this one for Christmas. It went together easily and holds even my Mosin Nagant 91/30 in the back without issues. However; don't expect it, as is, to work well with any AR style rifle. The barrel rests are 6 inches too high. It would have been easy enough for Stack-On to add holes 6 inches lower. As it is I will have to drill new holes so the barrel rest will accommodate my AR's.Write a Review
Don't expect fast access into cabinet
A situation arose where I needed to access my firearms in a hurry. During this evolution I attempted to open my gun cabinet and was pleasantly surprised that the lock mechanism WOULD NOT BUDGE. It wasn't until the following that I was able to pry the door back and eventually remove it completely. I would not recommend this product to anybody.Write a Review
I bought this gun cabinet 2 Christmas's ago and it worked accordingly for about a year and a half. Recently the internal mechanism got jammed up so I gave the customer service team a call, they told me to drill the keyhole out so I followed the instructions in the email. I began to drill into the lock and the advised drill bit broke. After this i went out and got another drill bit and proceeded to try again, but I ended up with the same result. I spoke with a total of 3 customer service people and the first two I spoke with were very helpful and they tried their best to help me. The third person was awful her tone was mean, she had a arrogant demeanor, and she was unwilling to help. I am overall very unsatisfied as the cabinet should last longer than 1 and a half years and the customer service was sub par! Bottom line is don't buy this product, it isn't worth the money and the company is unwilling to help customers in need.Write a Review
