Great cabinet for a good price.
Fit perfectly in a narrow spot in my master closet. Very discreet and secure. I have it bolted (with supplied hardware!) to the wall in the 2x4 in 3 places. For the price you cannot go wrong! Now all I need is 2 hand gun top mounted cabinets.Write a Review
Nice Gun Cabinet
Nice metal cabinet and it does the job. The shelf is mounted towards the front so longer gun barrels like my Remington 1100 12ga with a poly choke and Benjamin .22 Discovery PCP air rifle with muzzle brake can go behind the shelf. I bought mine at a local gun shop. It is not a safe and I was not looking for a safe. I was able to move it around without any external devices when I screwed it into the wall. It must be screwed into a wall or floor, for both added security and to prevent an empty cabinet from leaning forward when the door is open, depending upon the floor its standing on. While the scope standoffs should work fine with a firearm, it didn't work with my .22 Discovery air rifle because it has a 50mm scope on high mounts and an added 5 inches on the barrel. The Discovery does fit into a double slot, with the scope taking up one additional slot because it must be positioned to the side (air rifle plus scope ends-up taking two slots). All in all I am very pleased.Write a Review
adequate gun cabinet
Although this cabinet is not considered to be a safe, it does offer a sense of security due to it's rugged construction. It also has a beautiful high gloss finish. Easy to mount the included shelf, and gun rack. Quality cabinet for the money that's made in the USA. If you're just seeking a quality gun storage unit, then this cabinet is highly recommended.Write a Review
Good security for the Money
Sturdy steel cabinet with solid 3 point lock that is light enough to haul upstairs easily. (I carried it solo and it was easy). Fit perfectly in my closet. Easy to secure to floor and wall. Now I just need to add pistol/ammo cabinet above. I would love to have a huge, carpeted, water and fire proof safe, but no way I could bring something like that up a narrow flight of stairs.Write a Review
Purchased this from Amazon brand new and just got it today. Item came with no key, information, or mounting hardware like it stated (unless it's in the safe that I cannot open). Looks good on the outside though....Write a Review
Best Product for the price
Purchased a GCB-908 8-gun cabinet from Bass Pro in May for my shotgun, rifle and two handguns. Was not looking for a fireproof safe, just a place to store the guns in a locked cabinet. Added a GCB-900 Pistol/Ammo cabinet in July to store the ammo in. Both units work very well for my intended usage. I bolted both to the wall/floor/each other and it would take a very determined thief to access anything. Only problem was finding a dealer that carried the GCB-900. Contacted Stack-On's customer support and they gave me a list of dealers. Walmart.com had it in stock and delivered to the store for free in less than a week. One additional comment. Stack-On should review their shipping boxes of their products. The 1" styrofoam pad on the top and bottom of the cardboard box works well enough, but the cabinet sides are right up against the single-layer cardboard box and are easily damaged in shipment. I saw several review comments about this and checked my units when I received them. The GCB-908 cabinet was perfect but the GCB-900 had a small dent on the left rear corner about half-way down from the top. Examining the box showed a corresponding crease in the cardboard on that corner. The dent was small, didn't impair the function or lock mechanism and was unnoticeable after installation so I wasn't concerned enough to return it. Consider using L-shaped double-thick cardboard spacers on the vertical corners of the sidewalls to protect them in shipping and your damage problem will be resolved. Thanks for a great product!Write a Review
Nice Security Cabinet
This cabinet is exactly what I was expecting. It doesn't have the construction of an actual safe but when mounted to the wall as it should be it works just fine. For just over $100.00 I am completely satisfied.Write a Review

I purchased the 8 gun cabinet from Cabelas after Black Friday and was pretty happy with it until today. It assembled easily and I bolted it in my closet, but today the thieves came and tried to drill the lock but failed. They did succeed at prying the top of the door far enough open to get my AR-15 out. I would pick something with a sturdier door in the future. The latch at the top of the door failed and came out while the rest of the door held. The items stored at the bottom of the cabinet are still in there and I am not sure how to get them out yet. So it's a partial failure because the rifle was taken, but the ammo box was not, although that's not a big consolation.Write a Review
