NEW Safew with no Instruction sheet

JR July 1, 2012

Just got my new PS-10-B with no instruction manual. So I'm stuck with a biometric, combination and trouble key security safe that I can only use with the trouble key. I'll call on Monday and hopefully be able to get an instruction sheet, so I can take advantage of all the features. I may upgrade this review depending on the customer service. I do have another STACK-ON safe and love it. Hope this turns out on a positive note.

No instructions included or online for my PS-5-B

earSmart August 17, 2012

I just received my new personal biometric safe but was a little disappointed to not find any instructions included in the otherwise well packed box. I was even more disappointed there are no PDFs online in the customer support section for this specific product. There is only one button for programming and I was able to deduce how to program my prints. I am still trying to figure out how to set the PIN on the keypad (or perhaps it is for show?). Construction of the housing is very nice. The plastic keypad leaves a little more to be desired. Worked well the first couple times then it stopped working. Think there was a loose connection in the plastic battery housing as it worked when I re-seated everything. Overall great value for the price. Meets my immediate needs and serves its purpose well. Have my concerns about wear-and-tear over time but we will see.

Nice little gun safe, just no documentation as to how to remove fingerprint accesses.

Not a reliable safe

Htank August 19, 2014

I purchased this safe a couple of months ago and it is very unreliable. It takes, on average, 5-10 times of putting the pass code/fingerprint on the safe before it will open. The safe will accept the code/fingerprint, the light will turn green but the lock will not disengage. Thankfully I have another safe with reliable access, but good luck if you need to access your firearm quickly.

Disappointed x 2

hesterfam January 1, 2015

Bought the safe, and there was no red reset button on the inside of the door which the directions say you need for the fingerprints. Took the safe back and exchanged it. The 2nd safe had the reset button, but the fingerprints never work and the security code only works about one out of a dozen tries. The motor sounds cheap, like it's trying but just doesn't have enough oomph to unlock. The entire casing for the motor on the door is plastic, which looks and feels cheap, and doesn't seem secure. Sorry, Stack-On, you've got a great idea here, but the quality is so poor.
