Our Commitment to Privacy

At Stack-On, we are strongly committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to (the "Site"). You can navigate the majority of the Site without giving us any personal information which identifies you. However, sometimes we need additional information about you in order to provide you with information or services you want to receive from us.  Also, this Site provides a variety of interactive features which provides you with a public forum through which you can provide information about yourself to Stack-On and others.

In this digital world, privacy is important to Stack-On and should be important to you. Stack-On believes in transparency and we provide this notice so that you can understand our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

The Information We Collect

For each visitor to the Site, our web server automatically recognizes the consumer's domain name and e-mail address (where possible). Stack-On collects only the domain name, but not the e-mail address of visitors to the Site.  We also collect aggregate as well as user specific information on what pages consumers access or visit, and information volunteered by the consumer such as survey information, contact information and security lock information.

Stack-On uses cookies to store visitors preferences, record session information, record user-specific information on what pages users access or visit, alert visitors to new areas that we think might be of interest to them when they return to the Site, record past activity at the Site in order to provide better service when visitors return to the Site, customize Web page content based on visitors' browser type or other information that the visitor sends.  If you wish, you may set your browser to refuse cookies. However, by refusing to accept a cookie, you may not be able to access some pages or use some of the features or functions of the Site. Some Stack-On cookie files remain on your computer’s hard drive unless and until you manually delete the file. Stack-On cookie files do not contain personally identifiable information.

Information you voluntarily provide to Stack-On

Stack-On only collects personally identifiable information that you voluntarily provide, for example, when you set up a voluntary user profile.  Examples of such personally identifiable information that you provide to us may include, among other information, your name, postal address, email address and telephone number.

If you supply us with your email address or postal address on-line you may receive periodic emails and regular mailings from us with information on new products and services or upcoming events. If you do not wish to receive such emails or regular mailings, please notify us through our Contact Us page.  Persons who supply us with their telephone numbers on-line will only receive telephone contact from us with regards to their inquiry.

If a customer decides to enroll in Stack-On’s secured access combination retrieval program, Stack-On will also maintain the customer’s lock combination pursuant to the terms of this privacy policy.

The Way We Use Information

The information we collect is used to improve the content of the Site, used to customize the content and/or layout of our pages for each individual visitor, used to notify consumers about updates to the Site, or used by Stack-On to contact consumers for marketing purposes.  For example, if you provide your name, mailing address, telephone and email address and request more information about Stack-On services, this information will be shared with appropriate Stack-On personnel to fulfill your request. This information will not be shared with any outside third parties without your consent.

Unless otherwise excepted below, we would not use your personally identifiable information provided to us online for purposes other than those you requested without also providing you an opportunity to agree or otherwise limit such unrelated purposes.  Stack-On will not sell or distribute personally identifiable information collected from you outside of Stack-On without your consent (subject to the limited exceptions stated in this policy). 

With respect to Ad Servers: We do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies. From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice.

If you are concerned about how your information is used, you should check back at the Site periodically. If you feel that the Site is not following its stated information policy, please contact us.


Stack-On may preserve and has the right to disclose any information about you or your use of the Site without your prior permission if Stack-On has a good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) protect and defend the rights, property or safety of Stack-On or its clients or their respective partners, employees, affiliates, other users of the Site, or the public; (b) enforce the Terms of Use for the Site; or (c) respond to claims related to your use of the Site.  We may also disclose information as we deem necessary to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request or  in the event of a sale or potential sale of Stack-On or one of its business units.

Our Commitment To Data Security

Stack-On understands that the safety of your personal information is extremely important to you. Accordingly, Stack-On uses reasonable technological, physical and other measures to keep your information protected from unauthorized access. Due to the nature of the Internet and related technology, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information and Stack-On expressly disclaims any such obligation.   

Our Commitment To Children's Privacy

Stack-On understands the need to protect the privacy of children.  The Site is not intended for use by individuals under 13 years of age.  Stack-On does not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from children under the age of 13 through the Site or otherwise.  In the event that we learn that a child under the age of 13 is utilizing any of the interactive features on the Site, we will terminate the account.
How You Can Access Or Correct Your Information

You may update or remove the information you provided to us by contacting us - see "Contact Us". To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before updating or removing your information. The information you provide us may be archived or stored periodically by us according to backup processes conducted in the ordinary course of business. Information stored as part of this backup process will be deleted in due course on a regular schedule.

The Site may contain links to other websites. Stack-On is not responsible for any websites that it does not own or operate. You should carefully review the privacy policies and practices of other websites that you link to from the Site, as we cannot control or be responsible for their privacy practices.
International Users

The Site is hosted from the United States. Users located outside of the United States consent to the transfer of their data to the United States for processing and use in accordance with this privacy policy.

Notification Of Changes

As we provide more services and/or functionality on the Site and as privacy laws and regulations evolve, it may be necessary to revise or update our Privacy Policy. 

Accessing and updating your information; Opting out  

Visitors who would like to correct, update or delete any personally identifiable information may contact us with a request to do so through our Contact Us page.

Similarly, Site users or members who wish to subscribe or unsubscribe to our marketing and informational communications can do so by using the subscribe/unsubscribe options or through our Contact Us page.

We may take a reasonable period of time to respond to any request to update or modify any information, or to opt out of or unsubscribe from any communications.  If you request the deletion or modification of your personal information maintained by us, such information may be retained for a period of time in our backup systems as a precaution against system failures. Some information may be retained for longer periods as required by law, contract or auditing requirements.
